GRANDE AMORE
(Contemporary romance novel)
The story is set in Rome, and involves a stunning Italian singer, and a young tourist stranded in the city. Their story begins when one of Italy's glittering stars returns home to make a video for his latest release, and spend some vacation time in the small village of his birth. Jaded and tired, Riccardo Bartolinni is not looking to become involved in anything more demanding than a swim in the pool of his secluded villa. He's had enough of paparazzi, socialites and debutantes, as well as the glitz and glamour of the parties and receptions. He needs time to be alone and do some soul-searching. But, life seldom works out the way anyone plans, even an internationally acclaimed singer.
During what should be the final day of filming his new video, Riccardo's sound people pick up a disturbance at a nearby caffè; interfering with their shoot. The handsome singer decides to see if there's anything he can do to help the distraught girl in the middle of a heated argument between the owner and a young man seated at the table with her. When he has straightened things out and gone back to work, he thinks that's the end of it. But, the girl is at the caffè; again the next day, and he soon discovers she's been stabbed and is near death. Things quickly change for the renowned singer when the results of an investigation suggest the reason for her injury might be connected to Riccardo, and not her cheating boyfriend.
Telling himself he is simply taking responsibility for the girl because of what the police have told him, Riccardo takes her to his villa to recover, and it's not long before the seductive playboy finds himself falling very much in love with her.
For Jillian Light, a woman barely aware of the fame of the man who has come to her rescue, an affair with a gorgeous Italian was never in the cards when she decided to visit Rome with her fiancé's tour company. Finding Brad Savage in bed with an employee of the hotel they were staying in was devastating enough, but being confined to a villa with the striking man who saved her from bleeding to death was creating an entirely different kind of terror in her vulnerable heart. Riccardo Bartolinni was the type of man a woman never forgets once she's fallen under his spell, and he was definitely out of her league in a big way. Yet, kindness and warmth could weave a bond that no amount of good sense could escape, as she was about to find out.
Falling in love with him more each day, Jillian is torn between the desire to give herself to the affair and walk away with a cherished memory, and the need to retain what little freedom she still has in his presence. In the midst of his vacation, Ric is forced into the spotlight yet again in order to lure a potential killer, but this time, Jillian is at his side, and an old lover adds yet another complication to the deadly game that is being put into play. If they survive, will love be enough to overcome the tremendous pressures of his career, and his very public past?

OFF THE RADAR
Weather National, a television network dedicated to covering Canada’s weather twenty-four hours a day is buzzing with activity. It’s late November and a massive storm is approaching. Weather models are conflicted, but one member of the team is feeling the approach of a storm is of historic proportions. Half-native storm-chaser and meteorologist Dino DeLaronde knows in his bones this one is going to be big and bad, a classic November Witch! He comes from a long line of indigenous men attuned to the elements and nature, and is conferencing with his team mates at Weather National when the program director decides to send him and a cameraman to Bassin Falls, Northern Ontario. The storm is expected to hit hardest just north of the small town.
In Whiteriver Valley, a small town located between Winisk River Provincial Park and the James Bay coast, Carli Sherwood, is arguing with Sergeant Stephen Becker of the RCMP. She’s been dating Becker for a few months, not knowing he’s investigating smuggling and drug traffic to the northern communities her company services. She’s trying to explain that she had a last minute call, which is why she’s taking over the flight, not her employee, Josh Carlson. The one flight will drop off the meteorologist and his partner, then she’ll make the delivery that her other pilot, Josh, was scheduled to make. Josh is watching the exchange and is antsy and offering to make the run as planned.
She’s running final checks when her clients, Dino and his cameraman Kevin, arrive. She’s face to face with Dino for the first time in years and they are not happy when they see each other. He doesn’t have time to book another charter, and she needs the fee anyway, though she doesn’t let him know that. The chill in the air is warm compared to the freeze in the airplane.
The plane is a small jet, full capacity would allow for four people. On board this flight are the pilot, a meteorologist, and cameraman, and their gear. Carli is carrying cargo to the town of Bassin Falls, to be delivered to the main store that serves the small community of Inuit and indigenous/native people.
Once they’re in the air, Dino takes the co-pilot seat in an effort to talk to Carli. She wants to know about the storm, and he tells her it’s his feeling it’s going to be historic. At this point they think it’s about eight-ten hours out from them. He explains the conflict on the weather models, and his gut feeling the storm could hit sooner.
They are just beginning to touch on their past when the storm begins to overtake them, forcing them down in an emergency landing that is none too smooth. The cameraman isn’t wearing a belt and is killed in the crash landing. They survive the landing, but now they have to start working together. Carli doesn’t know how far they’ve moved from the point where they are likely to have lost radar contact. As the storm arrives in grand style, we soon learn these two have a past, and a lot of unfinished business between them. But will they survive long enough to discover the lies and truths that have kept them apart for over ten years?

TURNABOUT
Written by Denysé Bridger and April Nichols
Former lovers Cade Maddox and Isabeau Renault have always challenged each other no matter what game they're playing, but when Cade pushes a little too far, Isabeau decides it's time to remind him who's in charge at her company... and her security specialist is now at her mercy, and loving every minute of it!
Cade leaned back and swiveled his chair to look at the wall of monitors, watching on different screens as the early arrivals parked, entered the building, then took either the stairs or elevators to their various offices. He stretched his arms out wide and expanded his chest on a long and deep inhalation, trying his best to ward off another yawn. Movement on the second screen from the left snared his full attention. He smiled as he watched her pull into her parking spot. She was running late and had barely put her Italian dream car, the newest Lambroghini Aventador LP 700-4, into park before she was pushing out of the driver door. Isabeau Renault was a lot like her choice of car: sleek, powerful, beautiful. Cade found that to be a sexy combination in a woman.
She rushed to the newly installed parking level elevator that would take her to the first floor lobby of Renault Publishing. He smirked as he watched her repeatedly poke the elevator button as she waited for the doors to open. When she entered the cab of the elevator Maddox hit a series of buttons on his keyboard and the monitors spread across the wall in front of him once again allowed him to track Isabeau as she stepped from the elevator and paused to take a quick look around. He had no doubt she was taking in every detail of the changes he had made with her security, and how her people were now having to scan employee badges while a guard, hand-picked by Cade himself, looked on. Even in her haste to get to her office, he knew she wouldn’t miss a thing and would voice her opinion the first chance she got. Satisfaction shone on her face for a brief moment as she took in the space and the smiling faces of her employees that greeted her before she was moving again.
Ten years ago, Cade had worked closely with Isabeau when they were both in the CIA. Things went south on their last mission together and Isabeau was taken and almost killed before he could find and free her. On his handler’s advice, if a threat could be called that, Cade ended their affair. His only thought: to keep her safe. He knew he had hurt her deeply, but better she have a broken heart and live than to be dead. He loved her that much. Six months ago, a covert mission to finding a traitor that was killing members of Cade’s team had threatened Isabeau’s life to get to Cade. Anyone who knew Cade would know she was his life, whether they were together or not. Hence the reason he now had an office at Renault Publishing.
Moving with determination, she continued to the staff elevator and once inside pressed the button that would take her to the 15th floor. Cade loved watching how her body moved as she quickly walked down the corridor, giving her personal assistant, Jean-Guy, instruction on how to start the morning. Being Chief of Security at Renault Publishing had it perks and Cade Maddox used them all to his advantage.

A WANTED MAN
The chill of early winter was just settling into the end of the day, and former Confederate Captain Jacob McCrae felt every dropping degree right down to his Southern born and bred bones. He let his gaze wander as his newly purchased prize stallion trotted easily along the blessedly solid ground of the main street. One of the few welcome effects of the encroaching winter was that it froze the mire that passed for the main street of the town well into summer season.
The town of Silver Rock Springs had sprung up along the track of the west bound railway, and it had somehow survived the passing of the rail workers who’d moved onward to continue joining the vast and growing country. In their wake, the small boomtown had struggled, then recovered. Recently, they’d begun to flourish, though a large part of that was due to the careful planning and relentless resolve of McCrae.
